If you are thinking of changing to this practice beware...
All current patients have recently received a letter from the practice partners, informing patients that the current partners are feeling exhausted and demoralised, due to the increased demand and workload they better book an appointment to see a GP!
So they have changed their booking system, "if you call for an appointment a doctor will phone you back." wait a minute they said they had an increased workload? " and will either deal with the problem during the call or arrange an appointment for you to see a doctor" seems like more work for them and none for the receptionists, who are ace at putting you off seeing the doctors anyway.
Well I hope all patients our there have great employers, who will 1) let you receive private incoming calls, 2) allow you time off from work to talk to the practice, 3) provide you with a private room, and phone, for you to take the call in the first place. Well my employer will certainly not allow this in a data protection environment.
Looks like the patients will be better off looking for a private practice if they actually would like to see at doctor.
I have never had to wait more than a couple of days to get an appointment, usually get one the same day! Excellent service. Doctors all approachable and don't "fob you off" . They have time to listen. Receptionists all very helpful. I wouldn't go anywhere else!
This is the worst practice, in the country, for getting past the receptionist for an appointment. The receptionists run this practice not the GP's avoid.
Went for pre-ordered repeat prescription. Gave them more than the 72 hours, but still item missing so had to call back. This happens on a regular basis, time before went to collect an emailed prescription request, gave them 4 weeks, plenty of time before I went to collect
No knowledge of request, receptionist not interested "I do not deal with email requests".
Managed to get a house call, service from practice management could have been better.
